IRUFADEO COMMISSIONS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS, FLAGS OFF MICRO-CREDIT LOAN SCHEME
The Integrated Rural Farmers Development and Empowerment Organization [IRUFADEO], on Tuesday, 18th December, 2018, commissions her Corporate Headquarters, among other things.
The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Ebonyi State, Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nome, who doubles as the Chairman of the occasion, urged the participants of the event to take Agriculture very seriously, saying that there is no profession that is greater or better than Agriculture.
Chief Nome, in his speech, wondered how Ebonyians leave their state and go to other States like Lagos, Anambra, Enugu, Port-Harcourt, etc to engage hawking on the streets as poor people when ordinarily, they are not poor people. He recalled how agriculture has helped him build his life, even from childhood.
His words: "There so much money in farming. And those of you who go about saying that there is no money in farming, to the best of my knowledge, might not have been serious in the business of farming. I am a farmer, and I tell you that farming is a very lucrative profession, and if you are serious with farming, you will make all the money you need in your life from farming.
The government of Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi has the interest of the members of IRUFADEO, and if you do well, if you behave well, the government of His Excellency, through the Ministry of Agriculture, is going to double whatever assistance you received this year by 50% during the next year's farming season. If People can make much money from politics and become billionaires, you too can make so much money from farming and become billionaires.
In readiness for the encouragement for the IRUFADEO Farmers, the Commissioner said his Ministry is going to allocate Tractors to the members of IRUFADEO in the 2019 farming season.
In his address, the National President of IRUFADEO Nigeria, Mr. Paul O. Njoku, thanked all those who made it to the event, saying that IRUFADEO is really committed to the development and empowerment of rural farmers, just as the name implies.
